Room 9 - 2019
Swimming - This starts on Monday 21st of October. Please ensure your child brings their named togs and towel to school everyday.
Athletics Practise starts in Week 4.
During the week Jo from the Timaru District Council visited Room 9 and talked about Dog Safety. George allows Stevie the dog to sniff his hand.
Destiny loves playing cards and learning new addition facts.
Zoey really enjoyed passing and receiving the netballs during our netball sessions.
Naki had a lot of fun learning new netball skills during our netball sessions.
Bradley worked hard on his crazy animal design. He then wrote a description of his crazy animal.
Amie from ASB Bank came to Room 9 and she taught Room 9 about saving, sharing and spending. Savannah was her keen helper.
We had a busy week working on all subjects. Room 9 had a visit from Mrs Smith on Friday and they all enjoyed doing the wonderful activities that she teaches.
Setaleki and Ethan had a great time playing with Room 9's puppets.
Liam and Dylan enjoy playing with the cars during our Play Based Learning sessions.
Kaleb really enjoys playing with the lego during Play Based Learning.
Korbyn enjoyed making his spider. Next week he is going to spray paint over the top of his creation.
Fauniteni had a wonderful time painting during one of our art lessons.
This week we had a surprise visit from Janet and a giant rabbit. They came into Room 9 to remind us that we need to clean our teeth twice a day.
Janet visited Room 9 again and demonstrated how to clean our teeth properly. Each child was given a toothbrush and toothpaste.
Room 9 had a visit from Janet and Sophie. They talked to us about the importance of keeping our hands clean and how to sneeze and cough properly.
Setaleki got dressed up for the Pasifika festival at Timaru South School. There were a lot of people at the festival. The children from Room 9 who attended had a great time.
Liam really enjoys creating train tracks with Thomas the train.
Aria had a lot of fun drawing this butterfly. She learnt about symmetry and how to use the window to trace the other half.
Room 9 have had a great week. We had a visit from Harold and the children enjoyed learning about the different parts of the body, what makes us healthy and that we are all different. Miss Dunbar visited Room 9 with her cute puppy Oscar.
